Nosy Be is a volcanic island situated on the north-western cape of Madagascar, washed by the Indian Ocean and the Mozambique Channel.
Two roads lead to the airport : the North road, from which one can enjoy a breathtaking view of the bay of NosyBe and the surrounding islands, and the South road, which crosses villages and cultivated fields along with plantations of cashew nuts and Ylang Ylang; the bird’s-eye view from the small island of NosyTanyKely will be a « postcard » vacation souvenir that you will remember forever.

Antsiranana’s economy is based on trade activities connected with the important commercial harbour, a port of call for big fishing boats which ply the Indian Ocean, built mainly by the Yemeni community, introduced during the French colonisation, who also introduced the use of khat, now widespread among the Antakarana local people.
On the east coast you can explore gorgeous bays, which are entirely deserted and protected by the rocks, with perfect turquoise waters for swimming. Along the coast lay beautiful unspoiled islands.
Further inland, you can visit the Amber Mountain National Park, one of the most beautiful, for its luxuriant vegetation, rivers and lakes and the Ankarana National Park with its spectacular caves and unique rock formations : the Tsingy, high pinnacles which make those places almost impassable, preserving their natural condition ; then the Baobab Forest.

| “Visit to a plantation in Ambanja” (approx. 40-min boat ride + 3.5-hour drive): Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, meet your driver and transfer to the port of Andoany (Hell Ville). Board a speedboat and cross to Ankify, where your driver will be waiting for you. Upon arrival in Ankify, transfer to Ambanja to visit a local plantation. At one of the most beautiful plantations in the world, discover the cocoa trail, the source of the finest chocolates, vanilla, pepper, pink peppercorns, and more. After the visit, drive to Ankarana, at the foot of the special reserve. Check into your room. In the evening, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. |

A full day is dedicated to an exciting excursion to the Ankarana Reserve, where you can admire its natural wonders, such as the fantastic Tsingy – spectacular rock formations with their characteristic gray color, dating back some 100 million years to the height of the Jurassic period. En route, take the turnoff to visit the Red Tsingy – an astonishing ephemeral limestone formation created by erosion, which takes on striking colors; after the visit, continue on to the city of Antsiranana. Lunch on your own en route. Arrival in town in the afternoon. Check into the room or bungalow, then the rest of the afternoon is free. In the evening, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. |

| After breakfast, departure for Amber Mountain National Park; the morning will be spent on an excursion in Amber Mountain National Park, a dense primary forest covering a volcanic mountain, featuring lush vegetation where rivers flow and create spectacular waterfalls; walk through the rainforest where you can admire unique plant species and local wildlife such as the numerous colorful chameleons; lunch on your own; in the afternoon, return to Ramena, then drive to the Three Bays via the road, then along the dirt track toward the east coast; upon arrival, walk along the path near the sea connecting the Bays of the Dunes, the Pigeons, and Sakalava; you can swim in the turquoise waters and relax on the deserted beaches; then return to the hotel. After about a 15-minute boat ride, discover several endemic species of baobabs. This is a truly exotic tour not to be missed if you don’t have the chance to see the baobabs in western Madagascar. | A tour that showcases the authenticity of life in Madagascar. On program : visit to Dzamandzar, a renowned former sugar factory that remains a historical monument despite its closure. Next, head to the sacred Androadroatra waterfall for a refreshing swim if you wish. Then, discover Hell Ville : the covered market, the “Bazar Be,” historic monuments and colonial buildings, etc. Lunch will be served in one of the best restaurants on the island, where you can enjoy a menu based on local products. In the afternoon, take a short trek to Mont Passot to end the day with a cocktail in front of a magnificent sunset with a 360° view of the island’s volcanic lake landscapes. Nicknamed “Turtle Island,” you can also see birds, dolphins, and whale sharks during the hour-and-a-half journey.
