In the morning, transfer by car to the port of Nosy Be called “Port of Andoany or Hell-Ville”; embark and sail to the island of Nosy Komba for a visit to the park where chameleons, turtles, lemurs can be observed; also in the traditional village there are several artisans displaying local handicrafts; exchange with them. Then, continue by boat to Nosy Tanikely, a true natural aquarium surrounded by coral reef, rich in colorful fish where you can enjoy fantastic swimming; picnic lunch included; at the end of the day, return to the hotel. After breakfast, depart for the excursion to Lokobe Reserve. The last protected primary forest rich in fauna and flora in Nosy Be. Transfer to the fishing village of Ambatozavavy to board a traditional dugout canoe along the mangrove to East Lokobe to discover the living treasures of the reserve where varieties of endemic medicinal plants and thousand-year-old trees are found, to the delight of scientists in the region, as well as lemurs such as the Macaque and Lépilémur, harmless reptiles, chameleons, tropical insects and birds. Then on to the Wings of Change for a total immersion and visit the daily life of the locals. Through that visit, you will see an essential oil distillery and discover how a traditional method still works. At the end of the day, drive back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
| After breakfast, discover the historical, economic, and cultural aspects of Nosy Be: a tour that showcases the authenticity of life in Madagascar. On program : visit to Dzamandzar, a renowned former sugar factory that remains a historical monument despite its closure. Next, head to the sacred Androadroatra waterfall for a refreshing swim if you wish. Then, discover Hell Ville : the covered market, the “Bazar Be,” historic monuments and colonial buildings, etc. Lunch will be served in one of the best restaurants on the island, where you can enjoy a menu based on local products. In the afternoon, take a short trek to Mont Passot to end the day with a cocktail in front of a magnificent sunset with a 360° view of the island’s volcanic lake landscapes.
