MADAGASCAR EXPLORER is an inbound tour operator founded by Giorgio Franchi in 1988. Having his diploma in Tourism, he gathered considerable experience in this field in Italy and abroad. When got to Madagascar, an amazing country with pristine coastal area, cultural diversity, unique biodiversity, and wonderful people; he decided to live there because he was sure to have found the most beautiful Country in the world. Together with Simon Rakotondrabary (Co-manager) and Angelo Rakotonirina (General Supervisor), they managed to rank Madagascar Explorer amongst the most recognizable and respected Destination Management Company in the country. 2023 is a special year as Madagascar Explorer celebrates its 35th anniversary!

Our office is located in the heart of Antananarivo, the capital city of Madagascar, and we sit in an attractive traditional style building. The team consist of 15 full-time employees, all highly skilled and experienced with outstanding knowledge of Madagascar destination. Each staff speaks at least two foreign languages such as French, Italian, Spanish and English to best serve our clients.
